SELECTED APPOINTMENTS OF ELISABETH WOOD:
1977 - Provo, Utah
1982 - "Ding Dong Christmas Is On Its Way" performed for a Winter Holiday program by Kindergarten and 1st grade students at Mira Loma Elementary School (San Francisco)
1985 - Finalist in the Miss California Preteen Pageant, entered and aborted Suzuki method piano training
1986 - Sang hymns, musical theater, and the light classical and patriotic repertoire introduced within the Antioch Children's Chorus (directed by Kathy Wood)
1995 - Sang in the Folsom High School Jazz Choir // One of three sopranos selected for the California All-State Jazz Ensemble.
1996 - Sonoma State University - studies in Early Music
2000 - Bachelor of Science in Arts & Letters from Portland State University (Minor in Music)
2000 - Original recording debut in the Northwest American Experimental "Singer-Songwriter" tradition (Hush Records) followed by a few concerts, including CMJ Music Festival
2002 - Soprano in Portland Baroque Orchestra production of Handel's Messiah, under the direction of Richard Egarr
2003 - Completion of 6 year residency with Cantores in Ecclesia (Portland, OR) under the direction of Dean Applegate & annual Byrd Festival conductor, Richard Marlow. Tours of Italy, France, & U.S. cities performing Chant, Renaissance Polyphony, & Langlais. First place winners of International Palestrina Competition in 1997 & subsequent performance for Pope John Paul III.
2003 - Relocation to Berlin // 2004 begins string of small independent label releases including ( %) own (GFKH, Obstructive Vibe, Lost Lamp, No More Second Chances, Arkain Records).
2005-2010 - several self-booked tours of the U.S. -- including extended dates with Nikki Sudden (Swell Maps), Adrian Orange/ AO (Thanksgiving), Alas, alak, Alaska!, GDFX (Infinite Limbs), BOBO, & Heatwarmer.
2006 - October recording & performance of "Das Komische Berlin Lied" with a choir of level 6 Waldorf schoolchildren from Spandau (documented by Uli Schueppel in BerlinSong).
2007 - (October) Blue Prints Reveiled @ West Germany ("Fog Dog" i).
2008 - (April) Eric James Johnson Memorial Fellowship Artist in Residence at the Philadelphia Institute for Advanced Studies (also awarded the Benjamin D. Letzler G Grant in order to help support the production of "Peace In Philadelphia" (camera by S. Kornhauser)
2008 - (Summer & Fall) Rise and Fall of Same Same But Dibberents Tur Sister Formation alternately performing the role of Fancie.
2009 - April production of "The Passion & The Luxury of Fog Dog" (Berlin, camera by P. Shafer)
2010 - Feb/March Seattle Residency sponsored by L. Bergman Studio. Collaborations and related recordings facilitated by the Racer Sessions community.
2010 - July 2nd premiere of FOG DOG: volumes i, ii & iii @ Moviemento Kino in Berlin.
